Coleraine Crusaders Reserves 2 Ballycastle United 3

A solid start to the new campaign with a 3-2 win away to Coleraine crusaders reserves.

Crusaders went one up with the referee waving away Ballycastle appeals for offside. James McGoldrick finished smartly to level the game following good interplay between Shane Kelly and Daniel Laverty.

Daniel Laverty put Ballycastle ahead with a superb half volley and Saul McCaughan hit a powerful free kick which the keeper couldn’t hold to make it 3-1. Crusaders pulled a goal back following a good cross into the box which deflected off a Ballycastle head into the net.

This was a good match for all the supporters as it had end to end play and a few controversial decisions to spice it up.
