Portstewart 4 : 4 Ballycastle United

Portstewart opened their campaign with a Jekyll and Hyde performance at the Warren.
In the first half they simply didn’t turn up and found themselves 3-nil down, all credit toBallycastle who forced the play from the front playing direct football, scoring through Darren McHenry, Thomas McClements and Sean Kelly.
Half time couldn’t come soon enough and harsh words in the dressing room saw Portstewart change things after the break.
Five minutes into the second half, Portstewart got their first goal, Gary Quinn slotting home. The second goal was soon to follow, Lee Rushe with a quick free kick that caught the Ballycastle keeper flat footed.
Portstewart were in the game now and a defensive mix up allowed Gary Quinn to tap in their equaliser.
The forth goal wasn’t far away and a Stephen Tosh attempted cross was fumbled by the keeper and was adjudged to have crossed the line though how the ref was able to make the decision is questionable.
The final goal of the game was cscored by Ballycastle substitute  Donal McCoy. The lastbit of action in the game saw a scuffle which resulted in both teams reduced to 10 men. 4-4 a fair result in a game that had everything!
